Take yourself out of your world to be in the world of others

Something that is so essential in order to have a fulfilling life is taking yourself out of your world, and FULLY emerging yourself in the world around you. Too often, we are so caught up with what is happening in our personal life that we forget about all the things and people around us that we should be enjoying. One tactic that I have learned here is leaving my phone at the house when I go out. I do not need it for anything! Everything I need is around me. My friends, the adventure, people who I need to help, and everything else. We hurt ourselves by thinking that we need to take all these pictures and post about what we are doing. This distracts us from our true purpose, serving those around us and being happy with where we are.

We should always enjoy the moments we are in!

Another common worry is that we need to be reached. This worry is not always in vain, but I believe that most of the time it is. Our only worry should be reaching the people we are with, meaning that we try to reach out to them and be with them in person and in spirit. Think about it. When you talk with someone inspiring or very successful, you will not see them checking their phone frantically or worried, but rather they will really be there with you. They will pay attention to what you say and not be distracted by incoming texts. I LOVE PUTTING MY PHONE AWAY OR LEAVING IT AT HOME! It takes away the stress and pressure we feel to respond or to inform. I strongly believe that if we really need to be with someone or talk to someone, it would happen without us trying. The only people who we need to talk to and be with will be put in our path every day, so we should not worry about entertaining others! Learning to put these things off to the side is necessary if we want to be inspiring and loving to others. Give them your attention because they deserve it!

I got a bracelet for my mom and for a girl that I like back home! Trying to give more and serve more!

Another lesson that I've learned is that we should focus on other people. It is a lot harder to help ourselves than to help others. Why? Because we will never be satisfied with what we have. We will always want something more or something different. We will always have dreams or desires to fill. And the more we give ourselves, the more that we feel we need. What's the resolution to this dilemma? SERVE OTHERS. Gratitude and kindness will be felt when serving others, but not ourselves. We will feel satisfied a lot easier by taking care of others. We will feel that we are doing good in the world and making a difference in the lives of others, which is our whole purpose here on earth. It is not to serve ourselves and give ourselves the best life. That is a vain task that will never result in true hapiness. So, let us forget about what we want and need and direct our attention and efforts to serving others.
